Good condition with some reading creases on the spine. I read much of this while in the hospital for a bunch of tests. Good timing, because many of these wonderfully-written stories might just make you want to end it all. Lots of bummer hits here, which isn't unusual for Tiptree, but perhaps a higher percentage of "oh my god now I want to die" stories in this collection compared to her -- you do know "Tiptree" was a pseudonym for Alice Sheldon, don't you? -- other collections. -- Dan

Stated first printing, February 1975. Small part of front cover corner is missing, and there's clear tape across the bottom and 2" up the side of the front cover (outside and inside). This is the book with Robert Silverberg's Introduction where he states: "It has been suggested that Tiptree is female, a theory that I find absurd, for there is to me something ineluctably masculine about Tiptree's writing." Well, you can't win 'em all, even if you're as smart as Silverberg. Intro aside, you will find here as strong and as fine a single-author story collection as can be found anywhere, inside or ...
